“A semi-pejorative term for polystyrene plastic figurines and miniature model kits made for tabletop role-playing games and wargame simulations, particularly the popular Games Workshop Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40,000 lines. The “crack” designation applies in that fans of these types of games seem “addicted” to them like a drug, and crave buying, assembling, and painting the models, spending large amounts of money and time in doing so, and anxiously await the latest, most finely-detailed releases.”  — Urban Dictionary

Finished: Tamiya Yamaha YZR-M1 ’09 Estoril 1/12

Fantastic kit again from Tamiya. First bike i built together with the previous ’09. Not a great finish.

The YZR-M1 helped Yamaha claim the Rider, Manufacturer, and Team championship titles for the 2009 MotoGP season. During the season, the Fiat Yamaha Team’s bikes were usually adorned with a white and metallic blue two-tone livery, but at Round 14 Portuguese GP, the blue was replaced by a metallic silver color to create a special livery to commemorate the release of the Fiat Punto Evo compact car. J. Lorenzo rode to a pole-to-finish victory and V. Rossi also took 4th place to seal the Team championship title.
