Tamiya released some more information about the upcoming releases of early 2021. Here is a overview of the static models which are being released.
Second of all they anounced the 1/24 1989 Sauber-Mercedes C9! This is a re-issue. This car was developed in partnership by Mercedes-Benz and racing team Sauber. Using a 5-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, it took 7 wins in 8 World Sports Prototype Championship races in 1989.
Third of all they gave some more information about the 1/20 Fiat 131 Abarth Rally Olio.
This 1/20 scale static model depicts the Olio Fiat navy blue and yellow liveried 131 Abarth, which was the WRC rally champion in 1977. It features a detailed recreation of the Abarth tuned 2-liter DOHC engine, and realistic interior and suspension.
Last but not least they announced a brand new kit of the Fairlady 240ZG which was a dedicated model for the Japanese market, and the top grade model of three variations (240Z, 240Z-L and 240ZG). Released in November 1971, it had a 2.4-liter engine and the longer “G nose”. The Fairlady was already available for a while in 1/12th scale.
