Unboxing: Tamiya Ford Mustang GT4 1/24 24354
Today i’m going to unbox the Tamiya Ford Mustang GT4 in 1/24th scale.
Announced to great acclaim at the 2016 SEMA show, the Ford Mustang GT4 features carbon fiber doors, roof, engine hood and more, a rear wing and diffuser contributing to advanced aerodynamics, and a high-performance 580hp, 5.2-liter V8 engine with 6-speed sequential transmission. Designed and engineered jointly by Ford Performance and Multimatic Motorsports, it is active in races across the globe, taking on rivals from other major manufacturers in the competitive GT4 class.
- This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 203mm, width: 87mm, height: 57mm.
- The brawny Mustang GT4 form is recreated in style.
- A realistically spartan interior features bucket seat and roll cage, with a decal-depicted Motec monitor. Separate parts are also used to depict the air jack compressor and various electronic equipment.
- Features a realistic rendering of the suspension including the dedicated rear control arms.
- Side mirror and rear view mirrors use metal-plated parts.
- Separate engine underside and gear case components give an authentic finish.
- Comes with two marking options, plus masking stickers for use in the paint job.
The Tamiya Ford Mustang GT4 comes in the usual Tamiya big box with the finished model up front with some information about the model. On the side of the box some more information is presented with 2 build options provided by Tamiya. The difference is mainly by color.

Let’s start the unboxing!
The first parts you see is the body and clear parts.

Then you will get a white sprue. This sprue contains the bodyparts which are going to be painted in color like the floor, inside tub and the front bumper. Also the rollcage comes on this sprue.

Then you will find some wheels and chrome parts.

The black sprues contain some interior parts, wheels, exhaust and brakes.

Then you get to the decals and some precut masking tape.

The paperwork comes with some background information of the car, color variations and of course the building instructions. These are typical Tamiya. Easy to read and clear instructions.

This kit is just a great one. Seems to be a little complex, but the outcome and fitment will be great! This is the version i am going to build:
